Hello, dear JartexNetwork players!
We are here to let you know our brand-new season of KitPvP is being released this weekend.

We have taken our time to ensure a new season, with fresh features, and new things to discover, and we have kept our eyes and ears open for community feedback.
With this new reset we have done a major overhaul from scratch over all of the core features, so read the post to know what we have in store for you.

Changelog​

​

Here is the list of the changes made for this reset. I highly suggest you give a good read over all of these to make sure you are familiar with the most recent updates and are not missing out on important details.​

New! Map​

​

We can not release a new season with a new map, so we are happy to announce a new map being added this season.​

The feedback was clear, and everyone prefers the old-style maps, and for that, we have made a map that is flat enough, has enough traps and safe rooms for the players to enjoy.​

​

The spawn has also been made much smaller, to have everything you need ready within a few blocks.​

​

Gear up and fight in our new map with 2 themes split across, one vibrant forest theme, and a dull graveyard theme.​

Are you looking for some help? There are plenty of NPCs explaining all the features.​

A new seasonal crate has been added.​

​

​

​

New! Special Sets​

More combinations, possibilities, and methods to dominate your opponents in the arena.​

To give everyone the feeling of nostalgia, we have also decided to return some fan-favorite old-school sets, with a small rebalance back into the game.​

​

The sets that are returning are the following:​

But those four sets alone would not make this brand new season a blast, so next to those 4 returning sets, we have also added the following brand-new sets for you to collect and fight in:​

Removed! Special Weapons​

We have decided to remove special weapons from KitPvP.​

With the new features and special sets we have added, we realized that they provide more than enough excitement and variety.​

​

For now, all special weapons have been put away and we do not plan to bring them back.​

​

​

Updated! Damage Calculation​

We've changed the way damage is calculated, from a multiplicative to an additive system.​

This adjustment is designed to make PvP more balanced.​

You might notice that the damage numbers are a bit lower, but this new method will help us fine-tune and maintain better balance in damage output over time.​

​

This means any damage modifiers on special sets should no longer stack up to crazy amounts of damage that can randomly burst.​

It's now all properly calculated beforehand to output one added multiplier in damage.​

​

​

New! Flux​

You asked, and we deliver. Flux will make its return in to KitPvP, but a little bit different.​

You are no longer able to earn Power Points to convert them into Flux, rather you now have to grind Flux by salvaging items and killing other players with the required Perk, more about these perks will be talked about later in the post.​

​

With Flux you will be able to purchase one Flux Enchantment, the Swiftness Enchant.​

Next to that, you will also be able to purchase Super Potions with Flux, rather than having to use money for this.​

New! Loot Protection​

​

We're rolling out a new feature called Loot Protection to make your victories even sweeter!​

Now, when you defeat another player, their drops will be protected and only available for you to pick up for the first 10 seconds.​

This gives you the exclusive chance to claim your rewards without anyone else swooping in.​

No more losing your hard-earned treasures to quick snatchers.​

​

New! Stronghold​

We are very excited about this new feature!​

We feel as though this new feature will encourage PvP in a team-fight environment and will be well received by all members.​

​

What is the Stronghold?​

The Stronghold is essentially KOTH but on a larger scale. This is an event and would take place every 3 times per week (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday).​

By going to the PVP arena and entering the portal once the event starts, players are teleported to a new area​

Keep in mind you only have 1 minute to enter once the event starts, in which they battle to capture it, and rewards are given to the player that manages to remain inside the stronghold capture area for 10 minutes!​

​

When is the Stronghold?​

Friday: 22:00 server time​

Saturday: 19:00 server time​

Sunday: 15:00 server time​

Pearls and commands are disabled, if you disconnect from the server you will instantly die and won’t be able to return to this event.​

Be aware, touching lava means you guessed it instant death. This is the last man standing that you cannot leave, so make sure you are prepared to fight to the out.​

​

Earn great rewards!​

You will receive a Stronghold Lootbag upon winning the Stronghold with your team.​

This loot bag will be given to one of the team members standing on the Stronghold, it is up to the team to divide the loot equally. Some of the following rewards are within this loot bag, which gives a total of 3 items.​

New! Outposts​

The outposts are 24/7 battlefields, in total, there will be 2 different outpost types.​

These outposts give their unique buffs, so make sure to keep an eye out for them with your Team.​

​

Simply capture an outpost by standing on it with your team members, the more members, the faster the claiming process goes.​

The following 2 outposts can be found within the map:​

Fishing Outpost​	Brains Outpost​
Earn two fish from reeling in a fish.	Earn x2 Brains from killing players.

New! Pets​

There is nothing better than having a cuddly and adorable pet in your inventory whilst playing on our KitPvP server!​

These adorable companions not only serve as loyal friends but also bestow unique and powerful bonuses upon their owners.​

​

With a new roster of Pets coming this season you will never feel alone again.​

The following pets have been added to KitPvP:​

Snail Pet​	Fox Pet​	Knight Pet​	Goat Pet​
When activated you will put nearby enemies on Slowness II for 4 seconds.	Receive Speed 5 for 7 seconds.	Receive Strength 2 for 5 seconds.	Receive Resistance I for 6 seconds.

New! Flux Enchants​

We are excited to introduce a new feature: Flux Enchants!​

​

The returning flux now has more value than ever, as it can be used to purchase Flux Enchants.​

These are custom enchantments for your sword, bow, and armor. Each piece of equipment has a maximum of 2 flux sockets, with the second one needing to be unlocked. This means you can add up to 2 flux enchants on an item.​

​

How to obtain them?​

To get flux enchantments, you need to use the new Flux Table at spawn. These flux enchantments are rare and require a lot of grinding. You can roll for an enchantment, and each enchantment has 3 levels. After obtaining an enchantment, you can upgrade it.​

However, this upgrade has only a 40% chance of success.​

If the upgrade fails, the enchantment downgrades. For example, if you fail to upgrade a level 1 enchantment, it gets removed.​

Updated! KOTH​

​

We have updated the KOTHs within this reset.​

There will now be three KOTH events each day, with a much better loot table.​

​

This means capturing a KOTH is now more rewarding and worth your time again.​

New! Mastery​

Players can climb a ladder of mastery levels, which show how well they are doing in the game.​

Each mastery level is split into smaller parts, showing more detailed progress.​

​

Mastery Points.​

Your mastery level is determined by your mastery points, which work like a ranked ELO system seen in other competitive games. This means your points change based on how you do in your fights—how many players you beat and the level of those players.​

​

Climb the ladder of Mastery ​

When you defeat a player, you gain mastery points, especially if they are ranked higher than you. If you lose, especially to someone ranked lower, you lose mastery points. This system encourages players to keep getting better at their skills and strategies to reach higher mastery levels.​

New! Lucky Blocks​

Lucky Blocks are special items blocks all over the map. These will spawn at all times, scattered across various locations.​

These blocks give you different rewards that can make your equipment better.​

The rewards depend on the tier of the Lucky Block—the higher the tier, the better the rewards.​

Keep your eyes open to find them.​

Lucky Blocks can only be seen when you are close to them.​

This makes finding them a surprise and encourages you to move around the map more.​

​

Inside these blocks, you might find weapons, armor, or power-ups that can help you in battle.​

Finding higher-tier blocks is especially good because they have better items.​

​

New! Wager Duels​

In order to have a healthy competitive environment players should be able to prove themselves who is better, and what is a better way of doing that by adding a brand new Duel System. With this new Duel System, you can 1v1 opponents for fun, or for some huge wagers, the choice is yours.​

Start by dueling a player.​

You will be able to send a duel request to a player using the /duel command.​

If I want to duel Gunfire, I will type /duel Gunfire <wager>. Select the kit you want to use, and the invite will be sent.​

Time to fight!​

You and your opponent will be teleported into an arena where you can fight to the death. The winner is decided by killing your opponent.​

After the fight is over and the winner has been decided the money wager will be awarded to the winner.​

​

New! Perks​

You can unlock and upgrade various perks using the experience they gain from gameplay.​

Each player has two perk slots, which allows them to choose and activate the specific perks they want to use during battles.​

​

Choose from 8 different perks.​

At launch, there will be seven perks available to start. By earning experience and investing in perks, players can tweak their abilities to suit their preferred play style.​

Chance to earn Flux on killing players.	Chance to not lose Mastery Points on death.	Chance to heal a percentage of the damage you dealt.	Increase the outpost capture power you have as a player.

Chance to gain Regeneration II after a kill.	Chance to reduce the amount of incoming damage.	Chance to gain Strength II after a kill.	Increases the chance of Grind Keys dropping after a kill.

Updated! Events​

​

We have changed our events roster and now have the following five events. ​

A random event will happen every hour:​

​

King of the Ladder​	Lucky Draw​	Hardpoint​	Heist​	Fishing Contest​
A pillar with ladders will be summoned to a random location on the map. Stand on top of this pillar to earn points. After 10 minutes the top 3 players with the most points will win the event.	Collect lucky tickets dropped on the ground and return them to the ballot in the center of the pit. Other players can steal your tickets by killing you, but so can you! Do them dirty by cleaning up fights for maximum profit. After 30 minutes of collecting the Lucky Draw will happen, the more tickets you have handed in, the higher the chance to win a big prize.	Join the Hardpoint event where the goal is to capture and hold a designated point. Collect points by being the only team standing on it. There are 5 total points, each lasting 60 seconds, and appearing three times in total, so 15 points to capture!	Join the Heist Event, where each player starts with 100 gold. Outwit rivals, steal gold, and aim for the biggest stash! When the event ends, the top 3 players with the most gold will receive the event loot bag.	Cast your line, reel in fish, aim to catch the most fish. Compete with other players to see who can reel in the most fish by the end! When the event ends, the top 3 players with the most catches will receive the event loot bag.

Updated! Fishing Rods​

​

We have made a small change to fishing rods.​

​

From now on, fishing rods can only be used for fishing and can no longer be used in combat.​

The fishing rod hook will no longer cause damage to any player.​

​

​

Updated! Aesthetic Overhaul​

We believe that change is necessary for growth and development.​

The style around JartexNetwork is constantly evolving, and we want to ensure that our KitPvP gamemode is not left behind.​

This season, we have decided to give KitPvP a significant aesthetic overhaul. Here is an overview of the updates we have made:​

• In-depth Help Commands: We have added more in-depth help commands for certain features to make it easier for players to understand and utilize them.
• Hologram Styling: We have updated the hologram styling to give it a fresh new look.
• Messages: We have updated all the messages to make them more clear and more informative.
• Menus: We have updated some existing help menus with their styling.

Fixed! Bug Reports​

​

This season we did our best to fix all the existing bugs that occur in our Kitpvp server, here is a list of bugs we managed to squeeze out this season:​

• Fixed not taking any fall damage the first time after exiting spawn.
• Fixed ally chat not working if not all players are online.
• Fixed rubber-banding issues for some players.
• Fixed some help commands showing non existing features.
• Fixed being able to go over the team slot limit.
• ...and much more

Misc. Updates & Changes​

​

Multiple small changes have been made, some of these small changes are the following:​

• The whole server has been setup from scratch.
• A new crate, the Grind Crate. Obtain keys by killing players.
• Adjusted the Anti Cheat.
• Brand new map.
• Fixed issues with Duels.
• More broadcasts on features such as coinflip, duels, and more.
• Coin Flips can now be created using signs.
• Added /team ally -pending to view pending ally wishes.
• Removed the kitpvp level system, mastery is now your ranking.
• Reduced default team slots to 4.
• You can now only upgrade your team slots to 8.
• Removed Prestige Shop.
• Removed Challenges.
• Removed Team Perks.
• Chug Jugs and Minis can now be stacked up again.
• We have removed boosters from KitPvP.
• Improved Bow Boosting.
• ...and much more
