Hello, I will try to sum up at least some of the stuff I learned over the years as well as give you a few resources so you can learn more there.
Anyways, let's start.
A quick overview of what you will have to learn more about.
There are 2 statistics on YouTube that decide whether your video gets pushed for people to see or not.
When someone sees your title & thumbnail on their YT screen it counts as an impression. The viewer then decides if they click on your video or on another. This is called CTR (click-through-rate). If 5 out of 100 people click on your video instead of the other 20 videos they see, you will have a CTR of 5%. Let's say someone clicked on your video. Now it is important that you keep that viewer watching until the end (Retention) and if possible even watch another one of your videos after that (Watch-sessions/Endscreen). So CTR and Retention are what you have to work on.

Let's just pretend you looked at all the resources I just gave you AND YOU MADE NOTES ON THEM (because you will forget most stuff otherwise)
then this would probably have taken you 2-3 hours. If you just implement what you've learned you will save hundreds of hours till you reach your goal on YouTube.
